Open Source/Linux is literally a product of internet.  Open Source /Linux has developed steadily since early 90 's when it actually came into existence.  Taurus migrated to Open Source/Linux in 1996. Since then we have been giving importance to Linux Platform. We strongly believe in Open Source Philosophy and we belong to the same community.

Open Source/Linux has migrated in to many other domains apart from just being a proper Operating System.  Its now being used as a complete Resource Manager in various HI-FI Technologies such as mobile technologies, clusters etc.

One of the advantages of Open Source/Linux is that it can be fine tuned to adapt to our needs.  This becomes much more easier with the access of source code.

BlackT Project

There are many Open Source/Linux Distributions currently available. Taurus wanted to try its hand in developing a new Linux version. We thought this would be more fine tuned and useful to the society. Our motto was to do something useful and we started off with the idea of BlackT We definitely aren't the first persons to try out this, but we certainly want to be the BEST.

Cluster Tools

Taurus is an expert in delivering Linux Clusters. We have developed Tools which can minimise the effort to administor and manage one cluster . A cluster can have more than 2 nodes, it can go upto 64 - 128 nodes on a medium scale. SCAT and SCConfig Tools have been developed by HPC team@Taurus, they are used for administration and management of Clusters.

SCAT - This Tool is used in the administration of Sankhya HPC Clusters.

SCConfig - This Tool automates the configuration of Sankhya HPC Clusters.
